Attorney Profile
I've been an estate planner since 2001. I came to it after working at a large Silicon Valley law firm. I was drawn to the practice because it allows me to make a positive difference to families of all ages. You can count on me for personalized service and a long-term relationship (if that’s what you want.)
In addition to practicing law, I also write books, blogs, and produce a podcast (you can see all of these here on this site) and have served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Santa Clara University Law School, where I taught Estate Taxation and Planning. I help plan both of the large estate planning conferences in the South Bay: The Stanford Conference on Charitable Giving and the Kasner Estate Planning Symposium at Santa Clara University.
Whether you come to me new to estate planning or have changes to make to your existing documents, I will make sure that your estate plan is up to date, written in understandable terms and reflects your family’s issues and concerns. I like to teach and I like to use pictures to illustrate complicated concepts. I also think stories help ground legal concepts in everyday life, where you meet them.
I am a certified specialist in estate planning, trust administration and probate law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. I can advise you on estate and gift taxation, trust administration and probate, planning for children with special needs, planning for incapacity, and structuring wealth transfers to charitable and non-charitable recipients.
Please feel free to call me at (650) 237-7221 or email me at lizainfo@gcalaw.com with your questions and concerns.
